Born and raised in Nogales, Arizona graduating from Nogales High School in 1973 and served in the United States Air Force from 1974 until retiring 1992. Following retirement he worked as a Child Abuse Investigator and Supervisor of Investigation in Ohio until 1996 at which time he returned to Arizona working in Child Protective Services as an investigator working in Tucson, Sierra Vista and Nogales 1996 to 2000. Upon completion of his Master’s in Counseling and Internship at Southeastern Arizona Behavioral Health Services he became a counselor working with individuals struggling with various issues of addiction, depression, anxiety, stress and family/educational problems from 2000 to 2006. Offered the position of Behavioral Health Consultant with Mariposa Community Health Center in 2003 promoting to Director 2011. In 2022 Mariposa started a Specialty Behavioral Health Center of which he is a Director. In 2005 he opened a private practice as the CEO and Clinician providing services to Santa Cruz County, Arizona residents.
